NEW: Rodgers Brothers Custodial Services - a Ward 5 trash transfer facility - illegally & repeatedly discharged dangerous pollutants into DC waterways. We sued to stop this harmful activity – now they’ll pay financial penalties & reform their environmental protection practices.

My office is supporting targeted zoning changes to pave the way for much-needed new housing in Chevy Chase-- increasing access for residents who were historically shut out and supporting local businesses while protecting the character of the surrounding neighborhood.

In response to Chairman Mendelson and Mayor Bowser’s request for legal review, I provided a formal opinion stating that the CFO’s failure to certify DC’s FY2025 budget would have no legal effect, and that the Mayor and Council are responsible for deciding how to allocate funds.
