SOCO Mérida is a small artisan bakery and cafe started in downtown (two blocks southeast of Parque de Santa Lucía). For some, it is the best bakery in town.

Really nice coffee shop and breakfast spot but a bit pricey. One coffee and 1 chocolate croissants $300 /cad $20 twice as much as in Canada.
