Akaretler

Neighborhood in Istanbul, Türkiye
Akaretler is a lively district known for its 19th-century row houses, originally built for high-ranking officials of the grand waterfront Dolmabahçe Palace, now a museum. Walking trails are popular at tree-lined Maçka Park, while shops, casual cafes and restaurants line the meandering side streets. There are also notable art museums, along with a Naval Museum exploring Turkish sailing history.
