Fayetteville's newest community park is located on the site of the former Razorback golf course west of Dean Solomon Road.
This park, located in the Clinton Hill Historic District, was the site of the mansion of typewriter manufacturer John Thomas Underwood (1857-1937).
In 1982, the park was renamed Underwood Park in honor of Robert C. Underwood, a former Illinois Supreme Court Justice and active member in the Normal community.
